Every year there are millions of puppies born, some grow to be small, some grow to be big big and becomes unusual Giant Dogs. Sometimes seems like fake or real. Have a look and decide.
Not true at all. The majority are real non shopped photos of dogs. All of the Great Dane photos and Irish wolfhound photos are 100% real, the last pic is of Giant George the current world record largest dog.
Not at all. In fact, most of them are quite true. There are a few I think where the size is exaggerated due to camera angle, and I question the one with the man walking the dog and the woman with the horse..but the rest are probably real. I *know* some of them are real, including the one of the giant Great Dane sitting on the couch. He is the current world record holder for largest dog.
The first one is quite easily a real photo. I believe it’s an English mastiff (I could be wrong). They are known for their size and minimum height for males is 30 inches (wikipedia). One was recorded about the size of a small donkey.
Some of these are taken with special lenses. The very last picture is probably the easiest to spot. Look how small the guys head looks compared to even his knees. You cant tell me his knees are larger than his head. Its obviously a large dog just not nearly as large as the picture suggests. Cool dogs though.
Er… no offense, but what an ignorant statement. A lot of those dogs are mastiffs – the size of which do NOT need to be photoshopped. Having met one that came up to my stomach even yesterday, I can absolutely vouch for their legitimacy.
I have no idea which, if any,of these are photo-shopped. I love large dogs, probably an aftermath of riding my grandfather’s very large, very white, very furry dog when I was around 4 years old! But Oy! -I’d need a second or third job just for the feed budget!
I would say definitely 10 and 11 are photoshopped… maybe 5, 9, and 14 as well.
I am very into dogs and enjoy learning about different breeds. I can tell you that meeting an English Mastiff (breed in photos 1 and 2) was quite intimidating due to its sheer size. However, the dog was VERY gentle and slower, which helps give one confidence around such a large creature.
English Mastiffs are very large and gentle, they are usually known as the heaviest dog breed, while the Great Dane and Irish Wolfhound are known as the 2 largest breeds.
The second one (the one with the horse and the dog) is a fake one… It’s a mastino napoletano… Naepolitan mastiff and they are impressive but not very large… She’s about leg-height of a normal man and while males might be a tad larger I don’t think the males would reach quite that height…
Actually, I saw a documentary on large dog breeds and that photo is very much real. If you look at these photos closely, do you really think someone would take that much time to make the Photoshopping look that realistic? No, all of these are very much real in my opinion. Dogs do get huge, especially the breeds that are large in the first place. If their growth gene doesn’t stop when it’s supposed to, then this happens.
Number four is definitely real. Anatolian Shepherds are friggin huge! A friend of mine has had several of them and one of them was about that big and two younger ones she has currently are nearly that big as well.
I have a 6 month old female merle dane she has the biggest feet I ever seen and every one who meets her says what big paws so i wonder after seeing theses dogs just how big my Jazzie girl will be.
Actually that’s a grooming table, and it is a real pic. That’s a Newfoundland, full grown. I was a groomer for years and saw many of them. They can be quite huge.
Honestly, I would say they are all real. Maybe some look a little more impressive due the angle of the camera but no special lenses are needed for that. I have worked with dogs the better part of my life and had the privilege of working with all these breeds and they are that big. So much fun trying to get them to do something they don’t want to do!
i want to know what breed number 11 and 14 are i want one so bad my kids fell in love with number 11 if anyone has any info for me just post it here ill read it thank u
Most are real but some are very fake. the one with Neopolitan Mastiff is fake as is the on with the girl sitting next to the boerbel. Giant George is real but the angle and camera lens distort it to make him look even bigger than he really is. Look at the guys feet.
I have two great danes. One is 38″ at the shoulder and the other is 40″ at the shoulder. While Giant George is huge…perspective does play a role in this photo. My dogs are considered on the bigger side of the breed and the other dane pics on here look 100% real.
The one with the man walking the dog and the girl with the horse has been proven to be photoshopped, wish I could remember the site so I could cite it. But yeah, I don’t know about the rest, I’m sure quite a few are photoshops.
My kid has a great dane (female) that my own german shepard / husky mix can walk right under her belly. Mastiffs are even bigger, if you’ve been around these small “horse” you would realize these photos are true. As for the guys big feet . . . they look about size 12 which are even smaller than 2 of my boys feet! I’d know . . . shoes are frickin’ expensive!
actually yes most i believe are true, however some are taken with special lens like a fish lens. especially the last one. irish wolf hounds, and great danes are the biggest dogs in the world so those look pretty real to me. mastiffs get very large as well.
Not photoshopped…..I own an Irish Wolfhound, known to be tallest dogs in the world. He is 36 inches at his shoulders. Also know many other Wolfie owners.
#7- a husky, with no one around it? Doesn’t look particularly ‘giant’ to me. #11 Caucasian Ovcharka photo is what’s called ‘forced perspective’, a method causing part of the image to seem oversized. COs are big dogs, but not that big! Most of these photos are done this way.

these are for the most part photoshopped, taken with a special lens, or an optical illusion…..

Snap!
at 6:16 pm
this one is true
the enormous feet look like that because of the photo’s angle, but the dog is immense
